Start your Easter weekend off right! The Metro Men's Premier Competition kicks off tonight. It's gonna be fresh on the sideline, so pack your winter gear and get on down to support your club. The Otago Rugby AGM was held last night at Harbour RFC. Thank you to all those were were able to attend. We are happy to welcome our new President Bob Perriam, and 2 new Directors Megan Crawford (GM of Business Development at Dunedin Airport) and Leanne Ross (Chief Customer Officer at Netsafe NZ). Existing member Roger Taylor has been reappointed and the Metropolitan Club Rugby Council has reappointed Darryl MacKenzie as their representative on the ORFU Board.

Do you know someone who is always there to capture that special moment? The ORFU are on the hunt for volunteer photographers to send us photos throughout the Club rugby season. We would love to receive team photos, action shots and special moments of your local club and team! Dunedin's getting a Test Match and this presents an awesome opportunity for our 2024 Otago Rugby Season Members. 2024 members that purchase their membership prior to the Test Match going on sale, are also able to purchase Test tickets with their membership guaranteeing they won't miss out! Memberships will go on sale VERY soon, so keep your eyes on our website and socials for updates and announcements!

Strong contact, dominant scrum secures win

The time has come to register for Associate Referee courses near you!

Come along and gain some valuable tools to become an Associate Referee for your club or school. We encourage as many players, coaches, parents and supporters to register for their local course.

As you’ll be aware we have a shortage of referees and the time will come this season when your team will be called upon to help out. Get your people prepared by getting them along to one of these courses and help your community.

Please register to confirm your place but walk-ins are welcome too. You can make a difference and single handedly, make the O stronger!

Junior Rugby in Dunedin is this year introducing a new grade for those kids who aren't quite ready to make the change to tackle, are new to the game or just love the Rippa version of the game. This grade is in conjunction with the existing tackle grades in Year 3 and 4. Note: this grade is only available in the Metro competition this year.

For those that want to play tackle at Year 3, each player who registers in 2024 will receive a Tackle Clinic session with Otago Rugby at the start of their season.
